Victorian Health Services Performance
Victoria’s Health Services Performance provides statistical information on Victoria's public hospitals and health services. The aim is to provide greater transparency and a better understanding of Victoria's hospital environment performance.
State wide data and performance reports are provided on:
- Emergency care
- Patients treated
- Elective surgery
- Quality, safety and patient experience
- Dental care
- Mental health
Activity and performance information is updated quarterly and selected emergency information is updated fortnightly.
The Victorian Mental Health System
Victoria's Older Persons', Adult, Child and Youth specialist mental health services support people with serious mental illness who have associated significant disturbance and psychosocial disability. Whilst there is statewide coverage of specialist mental health services, governance arrangements result in variation between and across Victorian Public Health Services and their hospitals with regard to service provision.
The governance and operation of the Mental Health system exists at a health service level, not with each individual hospital. Information on mental health system performance is accessible via both the Health Services and Area Mental Health Services links within the Victorian Health Service Performance web pages.
