About this report

The 90th percentile response time for ambulances arriving first to incidents involving patients with conditions requiring time-critical assistance (Priority '1'). 

Note:

  • Response times are suppressed when the number of responses is < 10
  • The LGA names are based on 2011 ABS Census. 
  • There were name changes to four Victorian LGAs based on the 2016 ABS Census:  Latrobe (C) to Latrobe (C) (Vic.); Melton (S) to Melton (C); Kingston (C) to Kingston (C) (Vic.); Wodonga (RC) to Wodonga (C).

Understanding response times

Response time is measured from the receipt of the triple zero (000) call until paramedics arrive on the scene. Ambulance dispatches are prioritised to respond to those requiring the most urgent assistance.

The 90th percentile response time is the time within which 90 per cent of responses are completed.
